This is the personal website of Chris Fong. Who am I you might ask? By day, I am a software engineer in the San Francisco Bay Area. By night, I work on a variety of other projects.

One of my hobbies is learning Mandarin. When I was looking around a few years ago, there were very few nice Chinese learning software out there. Especially something that a cheap person like myself could afford. So I set out to create my own, and the result was an open source project called ZDT. The program is almost three years old now, and I think it’s reasonably popular.

Another hobby I enjoy is blogging. My most popular one, is dedicated to the Google Web Toolkit (GWT), called GWT Site. It’s quite a bit of work coming up with original content, but it’s also quite rewarding. I use Wordpress for most of my sites, but I’ve also created a couple using a CMS called ExpressionEngine. For fun, I’ve also created a free online Sudoku game using GWT called GSudokr.

Finally, probably my greatest love is sports. I love to play and I love to watch. My favorite team is the Golden State Warriors, and after twelve years of complete misery, the team is looking good again. I even created a site dedicated to Monta Ellis, their young, rising superstar. Also, check out my Youtube videos with game highlights that I try to make after a Warriors win. I think they’re pretty exciting, even if you’re not a Warrior fan. =)
