0.4.0 New and Noteworthy
Below are some of the major features of the new version of the zdt. Several bugs were also fixed along the way. See the changelog for a full list of changes. Be sure to keep checking out the character lists page for new content.
New Import Options dialog. Now you can import lists into new categories more efficiently. Also allows you to choose whether you want the imported entries to use definitions from the underlying database. Useful for transferring your lists between CEDICT and ADSO databases.

Two new flashcard modes. There are now three total flashcard modes. Pinyin Recall mode, which was the previous, lone zdt flashcard mode. Definition Test mode shows a character (and optional pinyin) and lets the user pick from multiple choice definitions. Self Review mode allows the user to choose what to display (character, pinyin or definition) and then they can ‘flip’ the flashcard to show the answer. No stats are kept in this mode.

Dictionary View improvements. Two new search modes added, ‘Begins with’ and ‘Ends with’. Recent search results are now saved between sessions and can be accessed from the search drop-down or right-click menu. Also available from this menu is the ability to search again quickly using another search-mode.

Easily change databases. There’s a new database preference page that allows you to change your underlying database. This is located under ‘Window’ -> ‘Preferences…’.

ADSO support. By default, the zdt uses a CEDICT based database file, but a zdt compliant ADSO database file can also be downloaded separately and used (via the database preference page).
