Hi Alex, if the sound plugin is installed, you can select a word in the category or dictionary views, and press F3 to hear the sound play. There will also be a menuitem available in the right-click menu to do the same thing. You can also press F3 in any of the flashcards modes to hear the current flashcard spoken.

This is a fantastic tool Chris. Good job on developing this!

I wish I have technical skills to help you out here.

Re the sound plugin. What does is it supposed to do?

I downloaded it and put it into the plugin folder but don't notice anything that has changed.

May You All Be Well and Happy~!

Thanks Chris. I got the sound plugin now.

If I may, a personal wishlist for future dvpt :

- the possibility to edit the pinyin/definitions for a given character (right now, I am using Wordpad to open directly the database file)

- bookmarks for the browser.

Thanks for the kind words Patrick. Here's a direct link to the sound plugin Just download the jar and drop it into the plugins directory of your zdt install.

I want to emphasize though that this is not a complete set of sounds. But hopefully it shows what the program can be capable of.

Hi, congrats for this amazingly good program : it's way better than any other software i've seen and most importantly, it actually does help learning chinese. Now I have one question : where can I get the sound plugin ? I did not manage to find it. Thanks !
