ZDT update

March 21st, 2008

As you may have noticed, there hasn’t been much ZDT development going on since 0.7.0 came out in November.  I’ve been pretty busy with other projects over the past several months.
I have just recently started on 0.7.1 development, by making several user requested bug fixes and small enhancements.  I’ve been putting these builds in the sandbox area of the project page.  So check them out and please give me your feedback.

    - experimenting with the export->writing feature: imho, the characters placet in the boxes are a little bit too small; they should fill the boxes more tightly. also: would be nice if wo could chose the font used to write them.

    - a long standing issue which should be adressed: if you shutdown/restart your pc (win.vista) while zdt is still running you end up with a “broken” zdt the next time you launch it after the pc has restartet. this manifests in some runtime errors when trying to search items in a dictionary. appers zdt dos not adequately react on a system shutdown (or probably user logoff).

    - export->writing: it might be a good idea we could actually specify not only the number of “boxes” provided for practicing but a number of boxes per row and a number of rows.
